Upcoming QCB Seminar: Dr. Arden Baylink

Wednesday, April 23, 2025

Dr. Arden Baylink, from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University and owner of Amethyst Antimicrobials, LLC, will be our featured speaker in the upcoming QCB & Microbiology Seminar Series.

Join us for his seminar: “The Academic Biotech: Translating Basic Research into New Antibacterial Medicines in an Academic Setting” on Wednesday, April 30th at 4PM in CH033.

Dr. Baylink will discuss the need for new antibacterial medicines and how academic research can bridge gaps between traditional biotech and pharmaceutical industries. His talk will highlight various strategies, including commercialization efforts and advances in targeting bacterial chemotaxis and redox defenses.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear about his lab and company’s fight against antibiotic-resistant pathogens!
